The Space Between Us

The fight didn’t start with shouting.
It started with silence.
The kind that fills a room louder than words.
They lay on opposite sides of the bed that night, backs turned, eyes open. The ceiling fan hummed above them like it had no idea something sacred was cracking underneath it.
Earlier that evening, it had been something small. Money, maybe. Or time. Or the way one sentence landed the wrong way.
It always starts small.
At some point, one of them whispered, “Let’s pray.”
The other didn’t respond.
Not because they didn’t believe — but because belief felt tired.
No one tells you that marriage will sometimes stretch your faith thinner than your circumstances ever did. That you can love God deeply and still struggle to love the person sleeping beside you. That you can know the scriptures and still feel lost in your own home.
This is the part of marriage most people don’t post.
Yet — this space between them was not empty.

God was there.
Marriage is not just about two people choosing each other every day. It is about choosing what stands between you.
This blog exists for that space.
Welcome to Between Us & God.
And this is just the beginning.
